  • custom fields and multiple post templates per social network.

First of, I was pleasantly surprised at how simple this was to get up and running.

Well thought out with an easy workflow.

I use a primary custom post type, and depending on the category, custom fields are made available in the post edit form.

i.e. Top level cats are: Camping, Photography, Walk

    I have two questions:

    (1) questions, the use of custom fields in post templates.

Someone else asked this back in 04-2022. I'm guessing it's still in development? Is there an estimated timeframe?

    (2) Being able to set up multiple post templates and either select when creating a social post or have some logic that can assign based on post metadata, category, tags etc, etc.

    Thank you.

Point (2) have semi figured this out by creating multiple network collections and customising the template for each. This is fine for manual postings to social accounts.

Ok, I thought I had, but the social template appears to be for all network collections and not on an individual basis if I'm right.

        Hello Gavin,

Thank you for reaching out and your interest in Blog2Social.

        1) Rest assured, as soon as there are any updates regarding this feature, we will let you know.

        2) Currently, you can set one general post template per social media network. Of course, you can set up different ones if the network supports various account types. For example, you can set up one template for your Facebook pages and a different one for your Facebook groups.
However, I will gladly add your suggestion to our feature list for future developments. If this can be implemented in a future update, we will inform you.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

        Best regards

        Benedikt
