  • The "+add profile" button in Twitter is grey. What happened?

    I had a problem with the connection to Twitter some days ago. So I have disconnected the app in the Twitter (X) profile.
    The connection to the Twitter API is now correct and I would like to connect the profile again. But the button "+app profile" in the networks page is grey.
    The windows shows only an error for a not allowed app. Where and how can I reset this problem?

    Sorry, that I don't have time to search point by point through the complete forum. I have no idea, what was happend and needed to allow the connection to Twitter (X) again.

    Rest assured, the button is indeed grey.
    As far as I understand, you’re receiving the error “Unauthorized App” when clicking on “Connect Profile” which indicates that you did not edit the X (Twitter) settings correctly. Therefore, I suggest checking the “Troubleshooting your Twitter API Settings” part in this guide.

    Please also take a look at the following community threads which show you that it worked out for other Blog2Social users as well when checking the “Troubleshooting Your Twitter API Settings” part of the guide above.
    I'm encountering challenges when attempting to connect to the Twitter API. Despite diligently following all the instructions laid out in the user guide and thoroughly verifying all the settings three times over, I continue to face an error message. The error reads: "Unauthorized App - Your app data appears to be incorrect

    I'm trying to follow your step-by-step guide for new connection to Twitter API, but I'm stopped to that point "Done, you've successfully applied for using the Twitter API. Now you can click on the little gear wheel to edit your API on Twitter.​" The pic below in your guide is completely different from my dashboard.


    If you are still facing issues afterwards, I’d recommend regenerating your App-Key and App-Secret which are listed under “Consumer Keys” in your X Developer account and update this information in Blog2Social by clicking on “Manage API Apps” in your “Networks” overview. After that, please try again connecting your X profile in Blog2Social.

    Please let me know if it worked out or if you have any other questions.

      Damn, I have permisson from X, have renewed the codes very often, Here you can see the screenshots from X, there you can see, that the app set correctly.
      But the button also will be grey. What can I do? I don't see an error.

      I'm near to the point, to reinstall the plugin. But I don't know, what was happened to the planed postings. And that are nearly 300 postings on different networks. But after reset and rename the App-Name @ Twitter then it works...

      Thanks a lot. But I don't know, why that was so complicated to reset the profil at twitter....
