  • Missed part in your step-by-step guide for new connection to Twitter API?

I'm trying to follow your step-by-step guide for new connection to Twitter API, but I'm stopped to that point "Done, you've successfully applied for using the Twitter API.
Now you can click on the little gear wheel to edit your API on Twitter."
The pic below in your guide is completely different from my dashboard.
    This is yours:

    This is the mine:

Which step is missing? Do I have to wait for an email/notification from Twitter authorizing me to use the new API? Will anything appear here?

Yes, I have an old standalone app, from 2015 (old plugin for wordpress). Is it this the problem? Can I delete?
I tryed to follow your point in the end of the guide 3) Older API applications
but sincerly there is nothing in the Twitter page for a real "transition"to v2.
    Thanks.

    Hello Barbara,

    Thanks for reaching out.

I would recommend deleting your old standalone app in your Twitter Developer account and to apply for a new Twitter API afterwards in your “Projects & Apps” overview. I was able to delete my created Twitter API by clicking on “Edit” next to “App Details”. At the bottom of the next window, you’ll see an “Delete App” button.

Please let me know if it worked out.

    Best regards

        Hello Barbara,

        Thanks for your reply.

After deleting, you can click on “Add App” in your “Projects & Apps” overview in your Twitter Developer account.
Please make sure to edit your “User authentication settings” of the new created app as described in this guide:
