  • Many posts are published incorrectly on Facebook

    Good morning.
We're very happy with this plugin; we're PREMIUM users.

Unfortunately, for a few days now, posting hasn't been working properly on Facebook. Many posts are being published without photos or titles, just the website address.

If I manually enter the URL on Facebook, it displays correctly. Can you help me?

    Thanks

    Hello,

    Thanks for contacting us.

There are a few reasons why your link previews might not appear as expected. Usually, this is caused by missing or conflicting metadata (specifically Open Graph tags) within your website's source code. In some cases, firewalls or security plugins may also block Facebook from fetching your content.
Please keep in mind that Blog2Social just shares your link to Facebook. Once shared, Facebook is responsible for pulling the preview data directly from your website’s source code.

Facebook uses the “og:image” and “og:description” to generate link previews. To ensure your content displays correctly, follow these best practices:
-Use a single SEO plugin to avoid conflicting tags.
-Ensure security plugins aren't blocking Facebook’s crawler from accessing your website.
-Verify that your images meet Facebook’s recommended size and format guidelines so they load properly.
-If you're using the auto-poster, ensure your website meets the system requirements or try adding a delay of 5-10 minutes in the auto-post settings.

    Kindly refer to these guides:
Why is my image not displayed in my social media posts?
What are open graph tags and what do I use them for?

Feel free to let me know if this solves your request or if you have further questions.

    Best regards

    Benedikt

Good morning. I checked the console. Everything seems fine here, but it still doesn't post correctly. What's wrong?

        Good morning,

        thank you for the details.

Your Open Graph tags look generally correct. In this case, the issue is very likely caused by timing/caching: Facebook fetches the URL too early (directly at publish time), before the final OG data and image are fully available. Then Facebook stores an incomplete preview (URL only). Tool to see what Facebook sees by looking at your link:

        Recommended fix:
        • Please set an Auto-Poster delay in Blog2Social settings (5–10 minutes) and test again.

        Also important:
        • Your og:url should be an absolute URL (including domain), not a relative path.

        For verification:
        • Please test the affected URL with Facebook’s Sharing Debugger and click “Scrape Again”.

If you send us one affected URL, we can check it in the debugger and confirm the exact cause.

        Best regards
        Philippe

            Hello,

            Thanks for your response.

Please be aware that Blog2Social simply shares your link with Facebook. Facebook then retrieves the metadata from your website to generate the link preview. This process is handled entirely by Facebook's systems.

However, based on the screenshot you provided, it appears that Facebook is having trouble accessing your website. The error message specifically states:
"Check that the webserver is running, and that there are no firewalls blocking Facebook's crawlers."

This issue seems to be related to your webserver or firewall settings. To resolve this, ensure that your server is not configured too strictly to allow Facebook’s crawlers to access your content.
Once your server settings are updated to permit these crawlers, Facebook should be able to display your website previews correctly again.

Additionally, we recommend setting up a 5-10 minute delay in the auto-post settings if your website performance does not meet the system requirements.

            Best regards

            Benedikt
