  • Scheduled posts just don't publish

Hi, I've been using B2S for two months now. Everything was going fine, posts on the calendar were going out on schedule. Maybe 2 weeks ago, publishing seemed to get spotty. Say, a Facebook post just wouldn't show up on Facebook, no error messages anywhere. Looking at the post in the calendar, it wouldn't have the error icon, but even though the date/time was now in the past, nothing had happened.

I deleted my connections and reconnected (including the new Twitter API setup). Scheduling has only gotten worse since then. Today I had 4 posts scheduled for 8:15am -- Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. The latter two published, but Facebook and Twitter did not. I reset them for 8:45am and waited, and they again didn't post. No error message.

I was originally on the free trial but upgraded to Smart this week, thinking maybe that was the problem. I don't even know where to start, other than again deleting all my networks and starting over and hoping. I looked through the forums, but don't see what to do when the posts just stop going SOMETIMES. They used to work and I didn't change my process. All networks show green/connected. Are there logs? Something I can look at?

    Hello Maya,

Thanks for reaching out. Rest assured, I’m sure we can solve this.

How do you proceed when sharing your posts with Blog2Social?
Please be so kind as to tell me a little more in detail so I can take a closer look.

If your content was not posted, it would be helpful if you could send me a screenshot of your notification details. You will find notifications by following this path:
“Social Media Posts” -> “Notifications” -> “Details”

I’m looking forward to your reply.

    Best regards

    Benedikt

Here are screenshots. For instance, I published a post Monday night and scheduled it to post to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest on Tuesday morning at 8:15am. The last two worked. Twitter and Facebook did not so I rescheduled them for 8:45am. They again did not go. I reconnected Twitter, which deleted its calendar entry, but the Facebook one still shows. There are no entries in the Notifications for either. I'm happy to keep working with you to find out why.

        Hello Maya,

        Thanks for your reply.

Please be so kind as to make sure that you’re using version 7.2.1 of Blog2Social.

        Regarding Twitter:
Did you delete your old Twitter connection in your “Networks” overview and try to share your posts via your Twitter API as shown in this guide?
How do I connect Blog2Social with my Twitter profile?

Please note that it’s necessary to refresh your auto-poster and re-sharer settings after connecting your Twitter profile via official Twitter API.

        Regarding Facebook profiles:
To keep communication on a personal basis, Facebook has restricted access to Personal Facebook Profiles for all social media tools. This is why we introduced Instant Sharing to make it possible to still share on Profiles and also in personal stories. This tutorial guides you through this process:
How to share on Facebook Profiles with Facebook Instant Sharing

        Please note:
When auto-posting or scheduling posts for Facebook pages or groups, your content will be shared automatically at your preconfigured date and time.

Please let me know if it worked out or if you have further questions.

        Best regards

        Benedikt
