  • Scheduled Posts are not posting but posting through "Share Now" posts

Hey, I'm trying the 30 trial of the Premium account and am running into some issues. It seems that whenever I schedule and autopost the post is added to the calendar but the post doesn't get posted automatically. How ever when I post using the "Share Now" button, the post is immediately shared and is shown on the calendar. Am I missing something here?

Thanks for your help. I plan to maintain a membership if this works as its a big time saver to post articles automatically.

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out and thanks for describing your request.

Did you face or notice any error notification in relation to the failed/missing Auto-Post in Blog2Social?

You will find notification details if you follow this path in your Blog2Social dashboard on WordPress:
"Social Media Posts" -> “Notifications” -> “Details”

If you can locate error notifications regarding failed posts please provide us with a screenshot of the message that you find there, so we can check this further for you.

Please also attach one link of a WordPress post that you wanted to share.
It would be awesome if you could also provide us with the generated/downloaded troubleshooting-tool .txt Log file, so we could look further into your environment.

You will find the Troubleshooting-Tool by following this path:
    Your WordPress installation -> Blog2Social -> Help & Support -> Troubleshooting-Tool

You can read more about it at:
    Blog2Social Troubleshooting Tool

These details would be essential to be able to look further into this case for you.
Make sure to sent me these details via a private message in the community to protect your privacy.

Thank you for your effort and your understadning.
I am looking forward to your reply.

    Best regards
    Alexander

I have this same error. I narrowed it down a bit.
      1. I have no errors and manual posting is working just fine (better than fine in fact)
      2. I noticed that both published and scheduled posts show no share count, even though they were published today or will publish today (21-7-2023)
      3. I was able to hit the "update" button in a published post and immediately have it shared to Facebook, the share count went to 1 and the last share info was filled in.
      4. I went into a scheduled post with no shares showing and updated that one as well, the share count went to 1 and the last share info remained blank (it has not been published as yet so it's in the queue)
It appears that if you have existing scheduled or draft posts, the auto-posting function will not kick in unless you update the post. I would imagine this has something to do with the PostMeta table in the database not having the correct info in it - which makes total sense.

      Hope that helps,
      Kim

        Hello Kim,

        Thanks for reaching out.

As far as I understand you’re using the auto-poster for your own original WordPress posts.
Please note that this auto-poster is triggered when clicking on “Publish” / “Schedule” in your WordPress backend post editor.
How do I auto-post and auto-schedule my own blog posts on social media?

If you already had scheduled your WordPress posts before setting up the auto-poster, it won’t be triggered.

Since Blog2Social works WordPress user-based this means that all settings and network connections can be defined for each WordPress user individually.
Therefore, please make sure that every WordPress user (author) who publishes posts that should be auto-posted:
        1. is activated for Blog2Social Premium (How do I activate my license key?)
        2. has the networks connected (Blog2Social -> Networks)
        3. has the correct auto-post settings configured.

Please let me know if it worked out or if you have any other questions.

        Best regards

        Benedikt
