  • 'Post Templates' & 'Social Media Time Settings' in the settings menu don't work

Hi, these two buttons in the UI don't go anywhere or open anything.

I am having trouble with autoposted facebook posts not following the template that I've set elsewhere in the plugin and I suspect this is why.

You guys need to fix this.

    Hello,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

We’ve identified and fixed an issue that could have caused the problem with your auto-posts not following the template. Please upgrade to the latest version, 8.0, and this should resolve the issue.

Regarding the two buttons in the UI, they are designed to guide you to the next step in the process. If they’re not functioning as expected, please try the update first, try another browser and let us know if the problem persists.

We appreciate your patience and feedback.

    Best regards,
    Philippe

      Hi,

      I'm using version 8.0.1.

I've tried it on google chrome Version 128.0.6613.137, and Microsoft Edge Version 128.0.2739.79.

The buttons don't work in either. If I force them open in a new tab, it takes me back to the 'General' tab in settings.

This is the tail end of the URL it tries to open when I click the post template button, which doesn't work. /wp-admin/admin.php?page=blog2social-settings#b2s-templates

I assume there is actually supposed to be a page there where I can alter my post tempaltes?

        Hello Toby,

        Thank you for your response.

Is it possible that you have adjusted your post templates for your Facebook profile and not for your Facebook page?
If so, please select “Page” first in your templates. You can edit your post templates in your Blog2Social “Networks” overview by clicking on “Edit Post Template”. This guide shows you:
How to use post templates for social media posts?

If some of the Blog2Social buttons do not work properly on your website, this is likely caused by another plugin or theme in your individual environment since I cannot reproduce this behavior in a clean test environment. For example, the following plugins are causing these issues because they’re overwriting some CSS files in Blog2Social:
        -Borlabs Cache
        -BuyMeaCoffee
        -AI Engine

An easy way to check if another plugin is causing issues on your website is to use the “Health Check & Troubleshooting” plugin from WordPress. This plugin is intended for such cases and will perform a number of checks on your WordPress installation to detect common configuration errors and known issues, and also allows plugins and themes to add their own checks.
With the “Health Check & Troubleshooting” plugin you can simulate to deactivate all plugins except Blog2Social and activate one after the other to see which plugin is causing this.

Please let me know if it worked out or if you have further questions.

        Best regards

        Benedikt
