Working with WordPress Plugin: User Submitted Posts

Hello Peter,
Thank you for reaching out.
I’d recommend trying the auto-poster for imported posts, because there are two different sets of settings in the auto-poster:
The first auto-poster is triggered when clicking on “Publish” / “Schedule” in your WordPress backend post editor.
How do I auto-post and auto-schedule my own blog posts on social media?
The auto-poster for imported posts is triggered when your posts are created by other plugins or RSS feeds.
How do I auto-post imported or created blog posts from other plugins on Social Media?
Since Blog2Social works WordPress user-based, this means that all settings and network connections can be defined for each WordPress user individually.
Therefore, please make sure that every WordPress user (author) who publishes posts that should be auto-posted:
1. is activated for Blog2Social Premium (How do I activate my license key?)
2. has the networks connected (Blog2Social -> Networks)
3. has the correct auto-post settings configured.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Best regards
Benedikt

Thank you for your quick an detailed response.
I did try it with the Imported Posts turned to On, and still does not work.
I actually have another plugin called Business Directory that allows users to post on the front end to a custom post type, and that works as well as the backend, so the configuration should be correct, it's just the hook or function that is used must be different.
Business Directory Plugin for WordPress is the best way to build directories. Our software backs over 20k local directory, provider listing & Yellow pages sites.
Here is the response from the User Submitted Posts plugin author:
"I’m not familiar with that particular plugin, but it sounds like there are programmatic requirements (under the hood) that are not happening for submitted posts. Do you know if there is some specific route or hook that needs called for the other plugin to work?"
Thanks again for your help.
Peter

Hello Peter,
Thank you for your reply.
I could imagine that the auto-poster for imported posts is not triggered since you did not activate and set up the WordPress user / author which is creating the post on your website.
Please note: If you set up WordPress user A but WordPress user B is creating your posts, the auto-poster won’t be triggered.
Therefore, please make sure that every WordPress user who publishes posts that should be auto-posted:
1. is activated for Blog2Social Premium (How do I activate my license key?)
2. has the networks connected (Blog2Social -> Networks)
3. has the correct auto-post settings configured.
Best regards

Thanks again,
I am using the User Switch to plugin to switch to the user that has that authentication so it should work as far as I can tell, as again, it works in backend and with other front end publishing plugin.
Maybe it is something else I am missing.
Thanks again,
Peter

Hello Peter,
Thanks for your response.
When checking your Blog2Social account I noticed that you have currently activated one user with your license key. You can activate up to two users with your Smart license key.
Please note that it’s necessary to activate each user (author of the post), connect the social media accounts and set up the auto-poster. If you set up WordPress user A this way but WordPress user B is creating your posts, the auto-poster won’t be triggered.
The auto-poster for your own original WordPress posts is triggered when clicking on “Publish” / “Schedule” in your WordPress backend post editor.
The auto-poster for imported posts is triggered by the function:
transition_post_status
Please let me know if you have further questions.
Best regards
Benedikt
