  • Share endlessly without returning a result

    Hi,

Recently when I share a post to social sites. The share operation will show "loading..." endlessly without returning the share results. However, actually the posts have been shared. Sometimes the shared results will show in the post details. But sometimes they will not show at all.

    Hello,

    Thank you for reaching out.

I could imagine that this is caused on your website by a slow server and results in a server-side timeout of your website. Therefore, please try increasing your website's memory limit to 512M and your execution time to 400 and make sure that your website meets the system requirements of Blog2Social.

Please let me know if it worked out or if you have further questions.

    Best regards

    Benedikt

I have followed your instructions to increaes memory to 512M and execution time to 400s. However, we still encounter such an issue from time to time. It seems that actually the posts are shared, but your plugin does not return the results and showing waiting status endlessly.

Actually we have a very good high-end dedicated server(we are using InMotion hosting Elite server with 128GB memory https://secureorder.inmotionhosting....rocess#hosting), and we also monitor the performance bottleneck and do not see any issues, so it is not likely caused by the performance of our server. It is likely to be an issue on your side.

        Hello,

        Thanks for your reply.

Are you using the latest versions of Blog2Social and WordPress?
I would also recommend checking your security settings and the performance / reaction time of your website and your host in general since I cannot reproduce your described behavior in a clean test environment.

Another easy way to check if another plugin is causing this on your website is to use the “Health Check & Troubleshooting” plugin from WordPress. This plugin is intended for such cases and will perform a number of checks on your WordPress installation to detect common configuration errors and known issues, and also allows plugins and themes to add their own checks.
With the “Health Check & Troubleshooting” plugin you can simulate to deactivate all plugins except Blog2Social and activate one after the other to see which plugin is causing this.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

        Best regards

        Benedikt
