  • The blog title is not reflected in the link bar back to the website

    Hello,

    As you review the attachment the blog title: 1 is Why Personalization Matters and 2 below it is The Role of Research in Sales. Their related images can be seen. When you click on the bar it does go to the right link on my website.

    It is just that the text to the right of the image is not the title of the blog. Rather in both case, it is Unlock Sustainable Growth ...

    I did troubleshoot. But I can't seem to find where Blog2Social picks this title from one of my articles. It is at different link than the two above: https://beffective.ca/learn-how-you-...ifecta-growth/

    Please advise what is the process to fix this issue. Thanks in advance.

    Hi bEffective ,

    Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

    We’ve reviewed the issue you described, and it appears that LinkedIn is pulling the incorrect title when your blog posts are shared. This can happen due to conflicting metadata on your website.

    We’ve noticed that this behavior also occurs when articles are shared directly on LinkedIn. You can verify how LinkedIn interprets your shared links using their Post Inspector tool. This tool shows that LinkedIn is indeed picking up the wrong title.

    In your case, it looks like multiple SEO tools, like YOAST, are being used to define the metadata for your links. We recommend ensuring that only one tool is defining the Open Graph (OG) tags, as having multiple sources can lead to conflicts.

    To correct the title that appears when sharing on LinkedIn, you’ll need to set the og:title meta tag correctly in the head section of your blog’s HTML. Here’s an example of how it should look:

    <meta name="title" property="og:title" content="[Your Correct Title Here]">

    For more detailed guidance on setting OG tags with Blog2Social, please check out our FAQ guide.

    Please try updating the metadata, and let us know if the issue persists. We’re here to help!

    Best regards,
    Philippe
