    Hello,

    Thanks for reaching out.

When adding “Keywords” in your post templates, Blog2Social will automatically turn your WordPress posts “Tags” into hashtags on social media. This guide shows you exactly:
How to use post templates for social media posts?

Please let me know if this solved your request or if you have any other questions.

    Best regards

    Benedikt

The reason i ask is that maybe i will use keywords in the posts that they are banned in instagram and / or facebook, and i dont want the keywords to become hashtags,
i dont mind for the the tags because i know that they work as hashtags

        Hello,

Yes, you are correct. By {KEYWORDS}, we are referring to tags, that will be transformed into hashtags on social media. In the context of Blog2Social, the term "keywords" is used to indicate the tags that can be added to your posts. Blog2Social will then transform these tags into hashtags for your social media profile.

We understand your concern about using keywords that may be banned on Instagram and/or Facebook and potentially turning into hashtags. Rest assured that the tags used in Blog2Social function similar to hashtags and can help increase the visibility and discoverability of your posts. However, it's important to note that the specific behavior and restrictions related to banned keywords may vary depending on the policies and guidelines of each social media platform.

If you have any specific concerns about using certain keywords in your posts, we recommend reviewing the guidelines and restrictions provided by Instagram and Facebook to ensure compliance with their policies. This way, you can make informed decisions about the keywords and tags you include in your posts.

If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to let us know. We're here to help.

        Thank you for your understanding.

        Best regards,
        Philippe

          Hello,

It took me some time to understand that tags can be turned into hashtags using the placeholder {keywords}. The confusion arose because the placeholder is named {keywords}, but it does not seem to directly pull the WordPress keywords (as one might expect).

Now I am looking for a solution to automatically display both the tags and the keywords from WordPress as hashtags.

The following sentence in the documentation adds to the confusion:
Post templates allow you to create automatically customized social media posts with a unique structure by defining the sequence of variables for the title, excerpt, content, and keywords as hashtags.

Would it also be possible to introduce additional placeholders to avoid this confusion and enhance flexibility? My suggestion would be to add placeholders like {wptags} for WordPress tags and {wpkeywords} for WordPress keywords.

And just as a joke—why not introduce {tags} for keywords too? ;-)

          Thank you for your support!

            Hello prexma ,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback—it’s valuable for helping us improve clarity and usability.

            To address your query:
            1. {keywords} Placeholder and Tags:
              • The {keywords} placeholder is designed to pull defined tags from your WordPress posts and turn them into hashtags for your social media posts. However, it’s important to ensure that the tags in your WordPress post are properly defined, as these are the source for the hashtags.
            2. Channel-Specific Settings:
              • The behavior of the {keywords} placeholder can vary depending on the channel you’re using (e.g., Facebook Pages vs. Profiles). Please verify that your settings are configured for the appropriate channel, as certain placeholders may not be supported for all types of networks.
            3. Scenario Where Keywords Were Missing:
              • If you notice that hashtags (tags) are not being added to your posts:
                • Ensure that the WordPress post you’re sharing has tags defined.
                • Check the template settings for the specific channel under Blog2Social -> Templates to ensure the {keywords} placeholder is included in your template.
                • Confirm that the post is being shared to a channel that supports hashtags. For instance, Facebook Pages support hashtags, but Profiles do not handle them as prominently.
            4. Combining Tags and Keywords:
              • At the moment, the {keywords} placeholder is tied to WordPress tags. If you’re also using a separate plugin or custom field for “keywords,” these wouldn’t be automatically included. However, we’ll take this feedback into account for future updates.

Please let us know if you’re still facing issues or have additional questions—we’re happy to assist further!

            Best regards,
            Philippe
