    Hello,

    I would like to report an issue where the same post is shared multiple times on social media when using Blog2Social, even though Auto Post is turned off.

    Below is a summary of what I tested today and what happened.
    What I did
    1. I duplicated an existing post in WordPress.
    2. I set a future date and time and scheduled the post (scheduled / future post).
    3. On the post edit screen, I clicked:
      “Custom Sharing & Scheduling” → “Customize & Schedule Social Media Posts”
    4. I configured the social media settings for each network.
    5. Finally, I clicked the “Share” button.
    6. In Scheduled Posts, I noticed that each social network appeared twice.

    Currently connected social networks:
    • Google Business Profile
    • Threads

    What happened
    • When the scheduled time arrived, the post was shared as expected.
    • About 20–30 minutes later, the same post was shared again.
    • As a result, the same article was posted twice on each social network (Google Business Profile and Threads).

    Current settings
    • Auto Post: OFF
    • No manual re-sharing was triggered after scheduling.
    • The issue occurred only with scheduled posts and custom sharing.

    Expected behavior


    The post should be shared only once per social network at the scheduled time.

    Could you please advise if there is a known setting, workflow, or internal trigger that may cause the same scheduled post to be shared multiple times?

    Thank you for getting in touch.

    Is it possible that you have connected Google Business and Threads multiple times under “Networks”?
    If so, this guide explains how to remove duplicate connections. Please also ensure that your website meets the Blog2Social system requirements (as described under point 3):

    If the issue persists, it would be very helpful if you could share a screen recording of your exact workflow so we can take a closer look.

      Thank you for your response.

      Regarding your questions:
      • I have checked the “Networks” section, and Google Business Profile and Threads are not connected multiple times. Each network is connected only once.
      • I have also confirmed that my website meets all Blog2Social system requirements, including those described under point 3 in the documentation.

      Additionally, I would like to share the exact workflow I followed today, as Google Business Profile (GBP) was posted multiple times during this process.
      Today’s workflow (scheduled post at 10:40)
      1. Duplicated yesterday’s post
      2. Copied and pasted the title and content from a TXT file
      3. Set the featured image
      4. Set the post status to Scheduled and selected 10:40
      5. Clicked Schedule to save the post
      6. Opened the Blog2Social settings by clicking the green button at the bottom of the editor
      7. Noticed that line breaks were removed, so I pasted the content again from the TXT file
      8. Clicked Share to save

      After waiting about 2 minutes:
      1. I noticed that the featured image was set as WEBP, so I converted it to JPG and re-set the featured image
      2. Opened the Blog2Social settings again via the green button, and once more pasted the content from the TXT file because the line breaks were removed

      Result (around 10:45)
      • Two posts appeared on Google Business Profile
        • One of them had no image
        • I have already deleted the duplicate from GBP
        • It seems very likely that GBP was already scheduled at the moment I clicked “Share” the first time
      • Threads received only one post
        • No duplicates occurred on Threads


      Auto-Post is currently turned off, and this issue occurred during scheduled posting with manual interaction via the Blog2Social button.

      If helpful, I can provide a screen recording of this workflow so you can review the behavior in more detail.

          Thanks for your response.

          At the beginning, you mentioned that duplicate posts would always occur on Google Business and Threads. However, based on your description of the workflow, this only happened on Google Business, and as far as I understand, you clicked “Share” twice because you edited the image.

          It would be great if you could share a screen recording of your workflow so we’re able to check this.
