Template settings ignored

The setting I have set up for the post temlate are being ignored for Facebook - I've set it for excerpt only with 120 characters but most of the article gets added and the hashtags (which are not included in the template settings), so I have to manually edit before sending.

Thanks for getting in touch.

I could imagine that you have set the post templates for your Facebook profile, but are posting on a Facebook page. Please first select “Profile” or “Page” in the post templates, depending on where you want to post, and then configure the templates accordingly.
How to use Post Templates for Social Media Posts?

Please also note that changes to the post templates do not affect posts that have already been scheduled.
