I'd really like Blog2Social to post the original link inside my Wordpress blog to social media rather than the slug. Is there a setting for that? I can't find it. I don't want social media traffic in some posts to go back to my blog - I want them to go directly to an outside link promo. Thanks!

Hello,
Thanks for reaching out.
May I ask you what you mean by “Is there a way to post the original link rather than the Wordpress slug”?
Please be so kind as to tell me a little more in detail and with screenshots how you proceed in Blog2Social.
If you want to share external links which are not related to your WordPress posts, I would recommend clicking on “Social Media Posts” -> “Share New Link Post”.
I’m looking forward to your reply.
Best regards
Benedikt

My blog is at jeffdellis.com. I post promos there that go to Amazon or BookFunnel or other places.
When I want to push those promos to social media, I want to use the links that go to Amazon or BookFunnel or whatever. Blog2Social defaults to using the blog slug at my website instead of the direct link to Amazon or BookFunnel or whatever. So I have to pull out the link and manually update every channel it's going to when I use Blog2Social which is a pain.
I also have to tell it every single time to use the image from the blog post and not the header of my blog. Sometimes it doesn't even have the info in the default. See screenshots below. It's very annoying and is making me very unhappy.

Dear sheri.ellis@dragonsightpublishing.com ,
Thanks for reaching out.
I understand that you are looking for a feature that would allow Blog2Social to automatically use direct links to Amazon, BookFunnel, or other destinations when you promote your blog posts on social media. Currently, Blog2Social doesn't offer this functionality.
Could you describe in more detail how these external links are connected to your WordPress articles? This information could assist us in finding ideas and evaluating whether there might be a viable solution to address your needs in the future.
Regarding the issue of manually updating the image source for your social media posts, I recommend checking out our guide on how to ensure the correct images are displayed in social media posts. You can find the guide here: Displaying the Right Images in Social Media Posts.
If we do add a feature like this in the future, we will be sure to let you know.
Thank you for using Blog2Social.
Best regards,
Philippe

My blog posts go to the readers of my blog. When I post promos in my blog, readers of my blog get those promos via a post in Wordpress. Readers of my social media are a different audience, and I don't want them to go to my blog and THEN click the link in my blog to go to the promo site, because I'll likely lose them. It doesn't matter where the promo site is hosted. The point is I want Blog2Social to use that site. And if I really have to explain this in so much literal detail, I don't feel as though Blog2Social understands anything. So I won't be renewing my subscription and am regretting buying this stupid thing.
