  • Blog2Social posting twice to Bluesky

So, just like the title says... When I click "Share" from the BLog2Social page in Wordpress, I get two identical posts to Bluesky, spaced a few seconds apart. Is anyone else experiencing this? Anyone have any idea how to stop it?

    Hello Barry,

    Thanks for reaching out.

There could be various reasons for this. Is it possible that you have connected Bluesky twice in your “Networks” overview? Please be so kind as to check the troubleshooting steps in this tutorial:
Why are my Posts shared multiple times on Social Media?

Feel free to let us know if it worked out or if you have further questions.

    Best regards

Thanks for getting back to me! I checked Networks and Bluesky seems to be connected only once. I also went through the troubleshooting and unfortunately, none of it seems germane (for example, I'm not on Pro, so I'm not using auto-posting).

If it helps at all, the duplicate post seems to come roughly one minute after the original post. Happy to do any further investigating/troubleshooting you recommend. It was working flawlessly until recently!

        Hello Barry,

        Thank you for your response.

Do you also see the posts duplicated under “Shared Posts” in Blog2Social?
If so, please be so kind as to attach a screenshot of it.

Does your website meet the system requirements for Blog2Social?
I could imagine that the posts are being duplicated due to a timeout caused by low website performance. You might consider increasing your website’s memory limit to 512M and your execution time to 400.

        Best regards

There are no duplicates under Shared Posts, and my site seems to meet all of the system requirements. I'll try boosting the memory, as you suggest. For execution time, the page you pointed me to recommends 40, not 400. Do you really want me to make it 400, or is that a typo?

            Hello Barry,

the system requirements page refers to 40 seconds, which corresponds to entering 400 for the execution time. I suspect that your website is currently set to a lower value, which may be causing a timeout and, as a result, triggering duplicate posts on social media.

            Best regards

I tried entering "php_value max_execution_time 400" into htaccess in my WP public_html directory, but I'm still getting double posts. My memory is also set to 512. Any other thoughts?
