    Hello together,
I am new and have a basic question.
when i have posted. i send in the post the link of my website that leads to a product. however, if i no longer have the product on my website, the 404 error website appears when i click on the posted link.
Question: is it possible to use blog2social to delete the old posts that are on facebook or elsewhere?
or how do you deal with this problem?

thank you very much for your answer.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your question.

Blog2Social posts a single link to social media, directing users to your website. If a product link leads to a 404 error because the product is no longer available, you have a few options to manage this issue:
    1. Manual Deletion: Unfortunately, Blog2Social does not have a feature to automatically delete old posts from social media platforms. You would need to manually delete these posts on platforms like Facebook.
    2. Redirects: To avoid 404 errors, you could perhaps set up a redirect on your website or ask your administrator to include a redirect. If a product is removed, the old product URL could be redirected to a different page (e.g., a related product or a general category page).
    3. Alternative Plugin: If the product links are generated by another plugin, it might be helpful to contact the support team for that plugin to see if they have a solution for handling expired product links.

Could you provide more details about how the product links are generated and managed on your website? This information would help us give you more precise advice.

Thank you very much for your understanding.

    Best regards,
    Philippe

        Hello Pascal,

        Thank you for your response.

To better assist you, we need a bit more information about how you are posting the job advertisements on your website. Specifically, are you using a plugin to manage and generate these job postings, or are you adding them manually?

Could you please confirm if you are using a specific plugin for job postings or managing them manually?

        Thank you for your understanding.

        Best regards,
        Philippe

          Hello Philippe,

thanks for help. I did made a solution with redirection on my website.. so the porblem is solved.

But i have an other question now.

I use Yoast SEO too. Is it possible use Yoast and Blog2social? I have read that there can be problems with the Open-Graph-Tags.
is generally using both plugins possible?

            Hello Pascal ,

Yes, you can use both Yoast SEO and Blog2Social together. However, to avoid conflicts with Open Graph (OG) tags, you should only let one of the plugins set the OG parameters.
            1. Choose either Yoast SEO or Blog2Social to handle OG tags.
            2. Disable the OG tag feature in the other plugin.

Please note that Blog2Social can only add your images if OG tags are activated.

            Best regards,
            Philippe
