  • Heartbeats Preventing Social Networks from Propogating?

Hello, when I use the troubleshooting tool, I'm shown a conflict with the installation. I was redirected to this page, where I see that heartbeats being disabled could be the issue. I contacted my hosting provider, and they checked that Heartbeats was not disabled on their end; they advised that it could be a caching plugin, so I checked with 10web booster support, and they advised they did not disable Heartbeats on their side. I looked at the link again and Click image for larger version

    Hello,

    Thanks for reaching out.

May I ask you if you’re facing any issues when sharing your posts with Blog2Social?

Please note that the “PluginWarnings” are just a suggestion which plugins could cause issues depending on their settings on your website. If you’re not facing any issues, you can just ignore these notifications.

    Regarding heartbeats:
Wordpress is working with heartbeats by default. Of course, you can deactivate or regulate heartbeats with plugins such as "Heartbeats Control" or "WP Rocket". However, deactivating heartbeats prevents the background tasks of Wordpress and Blog2Social from being executed properly.
For instance, sharing posts automatically in your social media is blocked by the plugin "Heartbeat Control". Please make sure that the plugin is not set to "disable everywhere".

It might occur that no heartbeat is sent between the time you publish your post on your blog and logging out if heartbeats are limited with the plugin "WP Rocket". If you log in again, a heartbeat will be executed directly, which will send the data. Therefore, please do not limit heartbeats to make sure that your posts are shared automatically on your social media.

    Best regards

    Benedikt

I've enabled heartbeats on caching plugin; however, the social networks I want to connect to do not appear at all; instagram, linkedin, and google business profile. When I initially login to my wp dashboard and go into the blog2social backend to check the network connections I brieftly see the connect button for instagram and then it disappears. Not sure if you can help me troubleshoot. I tried the troubleshooting button and there are no errors with the the configuration of the plugin to my wp site.

        Hello,

        Thanks for your reply.

Since I cannot reproduce your described behavior in a clean test environment it seems to be caused on your website (for example, by other plugins or themes).

An easy way to check if another plugin is causing this on your website is to use the “Health Check & Troubleshooting” plugin from WordPress. This plugin is intended for such cases and will perform a number of checks on your WordPress installation to detect common configuration errors and known issues, and also allows plugins and themes to add their own checks.
With the “Health Check & Troubleshooting” plugin you can simulate to deactivate all plugins except Blog2Social and activate one after the other to see which plugin is causing this.

In addition, when checking your screenshot I noticed that you’re currently using the Free version of Blog2Social. Here you will find all features and supported networks of the different versions:

Please let me know if it worked out or if you have further questions.

        Best regards

when i enable troubleshooting mode and turn on blog2social the connect button in the network settings for google business, reddit and instagram are still missing. i'm assuming that even if i upgrade if this does not get resolved i will not have access to those social networks even if i pay for pro plan is that correct? do you have other solutions?

            Hello,

            Thanks for your response.

Please note that this behavior is likely caused on your website since I cannot reproduce it in a clean test environment.
Therefore, I would recommend using the “Health Check & Troubleshooting” plugin from WordPress to simulate to deactivate all plugins except Blog2Social and activate one after the other to find out which one is causing this for you.

Please let me know if it worked out or if you have any other questions.
