Template "library" with multiple post templates per type/network

I'd love to see a post template library feature that would allow us to make different templates for each post type, per network, rather than just one per network. Also, it should allow us to connect a taxonomy to it (category/tag is fine but full tax support would be gorgeous) so we can customize our message by the content type, not just format.
