  • Autopost not working - Plugin Postie

    Hello,

    we are working with Blog2Social Pro and we encountered several problems.

    We are working with Postie - you can write a post as an e-mail and Postie will post it on the website.

    The problem now is that no posts will get posted automatically.

    And if we post it by hand instagram and facebook wont post any text with it even though I followed your how-to for that topic: https://www.blog2social.com/en/faq/i...154&artlang=en

    Regarding the auto-poster:
    As far as I understand you are using the Postie plugin to create these posts on your website, is that correct?
    Did you try using the auto-poster for imported posts?

    Please note that there are two different sets of settings in the auto-poster, one for your own original Wordpress blog posts and one for imported posts (imported RSS feeds or posts you create / import with another plugin).
    With the first auto-poster you are able to automatically post your own original WordPress posts to all of your connected networks. This one is triggered when clicking on “Publish” or “Schedule” in your WordPress backend post editor.
    How do I auto-post and auto-schedule my own blog posts on social media?

    With the second auto-poster you are able to automatically post to the following networks and this one is triggered when your posts are created by other plugins:
    -Facebook (Profiles and Pages)
    -Twitter
    -Google My Business
    How do I auto-post imported or created blog posts from other plugins on Social Media?

    Since Blog2Social works WordPress user-based this means that all settings and network connections can be defined for each WordPress user individually. Therefore, please make sure that every WordPress user (author) who publishes posts that should be auto-posted:
    1. is activated for Blog2Social Premium (How do I activate my license key?)
    2. has the networks connected (Blog2Social -> Networks)
    3. has the correct auto-post settings configured.


    Regarding your second request:
    “if we post it by hand instagram and facebook won't post any text”
    Is your text / content also created within the Postie plugin?
    I could imagine that Postie is not following the usual WordPress routine as Blog2Social does and that this is causing your missing text.

    Therefore, I would recommend trying if it’s working correctly when using one of the following RSS feed plugins which have been specifically tested for our customers:
    -WPeMatico
    -RSSImporter
    -WordPress Importer
    -RSS Post Importer
    -WordPress Automatic Plugin
    -WP Content Pilot

      Hallo Benedikt,

      vielen Dank für die schnelle Antwort.

      Ja genau wir nutzen Postie, damit die Beitrage per E-Mail gesendet werden und Postie diese aus dem Postfach abgreift und in einen Beitrag einfügt. Hierbei haben wir 20+ Nutzer die Posten dürfen. Diese haben aber keinen Zugang zur eigentlichen Webseite da sie nur E-Mails schicken für Beiträge.

      Ich sehe jetzt, dass du oben geschrieben hast, dass jeder Nutzer die Pro Version braucht. Heißt das, dass andere Nutzer nicht per Postie automatisch auto-posten können?

      Also muss dies dann dazu gebucht werden? Da wir Pro haben, wäre das ja nicht mit inbegriffen https://ibb.co/SJbkKXR

      Zur 2. Frage:

      Ja das wird alles von Postie übernommen. Text, Beitragsbild etc.

      Soll eines der RSS feed plugins zusätzlich genutzt werden oder statt Postie? Denn Postie ersetzen wäre nicht möglich, da im Hintergrund für Postie Scripte laufen.
