  • Chrome extension not working.

    Hi,

This is my first post, please excuse me if this isn't the proper topic. I just started working with the plugin and I am impressed! It looks just like what I have been looking for. One of the features I really need is the Chrome extension but it isn't working at all. I get an error and a message to contact the developer. After looking all over your sites, I found the link to this forum in the plugin, and here I am.

    The error is:

I'm using Version 93.0.4577.82 (Official Build) (x86_64), BigSur 11.2.2 on MacBook Pro 2015. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem? I'd like to go onto a pro version of the plugin but not without the Chrome extension. Thank you!

    Hello,

Thank you so much for reaching out and thanks for describing your request.

Would you please be so kind as to answer a few short questions so we could look further into this for you?

Are you seeing this error notification on every website link that you want to share or save as a draft with the Blog2Social browser extension?
Could you log in with your Blog2Social account access credentials in the browser extension?

Did you try to use the Firefox extension as an alternative?

Did you try to disable other external Chrome extensions in order to check if an external extension is interfering with Blog2Social?
You could also try to use a privacy/incognito tab in your browser and only activate the Blog2Social browser extension for a solid test case.

Please be so kind as to describe to us as detailed as possible how you proceeded while using the Blog2Social browser extension.
You could also create a short and simple video screen recording, so we could look further into this for you.

Please note that no general issue could be reproduced on multiple devices matching the error notification that you provided in your screenshot.

    Thank you for your understanding.
I am looking forward to your reply.

    Best regards
    Alexander

      Hi, Alexander,

Thank you for the reply. Here are the answers:

Yes, seeing this error notification on every website link that you want to share or save as a draft with the Blog2Social browser extension, including my site and your site.

Yes, it does the same in incognito mode.

I'm sorry, I don't use Firefox at all so I couldn't answer this question.

I am trying to record a video for you but the screen recording does not capture the pop-up so basically, there is nothing to share... I will try a series of screenshots instead.

      - Fully logged into my WP site, logged into this forum too. Do I have to log in to the web version also?

      - Open another tab, go to a site, click the extension in Chrome, it reads to reload the page so I can share:

Size:	50.2 KB

Once I reload the page, this error appears:

Name:	Screen Shot 2021-09-28 at 4.13.44 PM.png
Views:	87

The same happens in incognito mode.

      Does this help?
