Is there a way to work with content from fields in ACF fields? I have a CPT that uses ACF fields and not the Body field. Can I autopost and tell Blog2Social to use one of the ACF fields and not the body field?

Hello Mark,
Thanks for reaching out.
In general, Blog2Social is compatible with ACF. For example, you can filter certain ACF categories in your auto-post settings.
May I ask you if this is what you are looking for? If itβs not, please be so kind as to tell me a little more in detail or with screenshots so I can take a closer look at this for you.
Iβm looking forward to your reply.
Best regards
Benedikt

We are using a custom field for the body content and ignoring the default body text. This means when we go to share a post on medium, or anywhere else, blog2social doesn't pull in / can't pull in the body text from the ACF field.
See attached as an example. Unfortunately, this just means we share links but no other text which makes it no good.

Is there any update on this? He asked almost 1 year ago. There are many of us that use custom post types now. Its a very modern way of doing things. I would guess that a large percentage of your customers need this integration. I'm in my free trial but we need a service that will at least pull our open graph data to text. Other important text is being ignored.
There's no beta yet?

Hello Miriam,
Thank you for your request!
Support for custom fields from external plugins such as Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) is currently still under development. If this feature will be integrated in a future update of Blog2Social, we will be happy to let you know. Simply subscribe to our newsletter and don't miss any new features in our next updates.
In the meantime, there is a possible solution: Blog2Social offers various hooks and filters that you can use to make your own customization. Some users have already implemented individual solutions in this way. You can find an overview of the available hooks and filters here:
Blog2Social Hooks: Filters & Actions
Two relevant hooks for user-defined taxonomies in posting templates are
b2s_filter_posting_template_show_taxonomies β Shows custom taxonomies in the posting templates for selection.
b2s_filter_posting_template_set_taxonomies β Allows you to set custom taxonomies or templates with individual taxonomies.
These hooks are available to you with a business license.
However, as we do not know exactly how you use ACF (e.g. whether you integrate the fields manually or use a specific ACF add-on), more detailed information would be helpful. If you can give us an example or a concrete application scenario, we would appreciate it.
Let me know if you have any questions! π
Best regards,
Philippe
