I can't figure out how to make a video play as a clickout
on IG. When posted thru B2S? It lists the html address but won't
show the video or blog page on my site where it lives.
any ideas? Thanks. Whats the point of auto post if it only
writes the web address but doesn't create a clickable link?

Yes, this is correctly.
Instagram does not allow sharing clickable links in posts on the Instagram platform.

Blog2Social still allows attaching a none clickable link to Instagram posts via the Post-Templates automatically.
In Instagram only clickable links can be added to your profile-Bio. This specific rule is decided by Instagram and is out of the influence of Blog2Social.

Regarding your video request:

Currently it is possible to share video links with Blog2Social. Each social media network decides differently how it is previewing/displaying the link.
Some show a playable video, others only show the preview image or the Video URL.

However, in the next main update of Blog2Social a new video feature will be available in Blog2Social which will allow sharing video files from your media library directly on social media.
