  • Facebook won't allow posts to be boosted "Image in This Post Can't Be Boosted"

After installing and activating the Blog2Social plug-in and activating the Pro license, things seemed to be working fine - but now Facebook will not allow us to boost most of our posts, including articles that we never scheduled via the plug-in. Facebook gives us a "Image in this post can't be boosted" error and many of our articles won't even display the image. I deactivated the plug-in and cleared all our site caches but we're still seeing this problem. One thing we already realized was that we should uncheck the social media meta tags boxes as we do have Yoast SEO adding Open Graph already, and at first that seemed to help when it happened yesterday, but as of today, even with the plug-in deactivated, we're still not able to boost posts and FB isn't seeing our images properly. We're hoping this clears up with time but we sure would like to be able to use this plug-in!

    Hello,

Thank you so much for reaching out and thanks for describing your request.

Please note that I can understand your frustration towards this behavior on Facebook.
The Facebook algorithm is unfortunately very complex and can be triggered for very different reasons, regardless of whether you post manually or automatically.

To ensure personal interaction between users, Facebook uses very sensitive filtering mechanisms to protect against inappropriate content, which are activated by a wide variety of triggers. Also, these mechanisms are related to the advertising features and their internal content rating on Facebook based on their internal decisions.

Through these mechanisms, it can happen that Facebook temporarily blocks your posts or marks them as spam or declines them for advertising/boosting.

Because there can be a wide variety of reasons why this algorithm is triggered, it is not possible to determine a detailed error description in this case.
Unfortunately, Blog2Social and other social media automation tools as well do not have insights into the Facebook algorithm.

Blog2Social uses only the official Facebook API for data submission and post publishing and is an official Facebook Business partner.

In order to check this case further, it would be necessary for you to get in touch with the Facebook support team, so they can review your Facebook account in relation to the behavior you faced recently.

You can find more info about that at: https://www.facebook.com/help

Please feel free to let me know more details about your request as soon as you receive more insights.
Thank you for your effort and understanding.

    Best regards
    Alexander
